2025 TWHS Cheer Tryouts

Dance Music will be posted Monday afternoon; Band Chant Music will be posted on Tuesday afternoon; Tryout Results will be posted Friday afternoon.

INFORMATION FOR POTENTIAL CHEERLEADERS

Tryout Clinic: March 3, 4, 5

NOTE: Practice days for all cheerleading candidates will be Monday-Wednesday, March 3-5. Clinic is mandatory for all candidates. No videoing of material will be allowed.

CLINIC TIMES:

Monday-Wednesday, March 3-5
3:30-5:00 pm for JV/Varsity candidates
4:30-6:00 for Freshmen candidates

CLINIC LOCATION:

Clinic practice sessions will be held at TWHS Senior Campus Small Gym

Clinic Sessions

Clinic sessions are closed to the public. Only coaches, candidates, clinicians, and administrators are allowed to be present during clinic practice sessions.

Tryouts

Tryouts will be held on THURSDAY, MARCH 6, 2025 in the small gym at The Woodlands High School Senior Campus. Candidates will arrive at the large gym at staggered times:

Mascot candidates
arrive at 2:50 pm

Incoming Senior candidates
arrive at 3:15 pm

Incoming Junior and Sophomore candidates
arrive at 4:15 pm

Incoming Freshman candidates
arrive at 6:15 pm

Please be aware that tryouts may last until 9 pm or later. NO CANDIDATE MAY LEAVE BEFORE BEING RELEASED BY THE COACHES. You may want to bring a snack. Drinks will be available in the vending machines. All trash must be picked up before the candidates are dismissed.

Dress

Dress for tryouts will be as follows:

  • Red or Green shorts of medium length (no wind shorts) with some type of brief, or bikeshort underneath. Shorts should not be rolled at the top, nor should they have any emblems of any kind (ie: Private gym logos, cheer, etc.)

  • White short-sleeved shirt. Must be long enough that your stomach is not showing at any time. It should be solid white with no emblems, logos, or imprints of any kind.

  • Short white socks and proper athletic shoes with no emblems, logos, or imprints of any kind.

  • No jewelry of any kind.

  • Hair pulled back in a high ponytail and out of the face. A bow is optional (no emblems, logos, or imprints of any kind.)

Results

Results of cheerleader tryouts will be posted FRIDAY, MARCH 7, 2024 AFTER 4 pm
